Classic Apple Pie
What fun is going through a pie cookbook if you don't try the "classics," as well? This was a lovely and scrumptious apple pie. Nice and deep with a pretty top crust. I was skeptical about all the apples fitting into the pie plate, but it turned out well. I just kept adding to the large pile and the top crust help them all inside. JennThursday, February 8, 2007
Striped Sweaters

This was a fun pattern to do. The stockinette stitch made it go rather quickly and the stripes kept it interesting. The pattern called for two colors, but I had so much leftover yarn from the sweaters below that I just had to make two unique stripe patterns. I particularly like the detail around the colar and the button opening at the neck.

Striped Sweater with Picot Edge
This was supposed to be a Christmas present for little Ollie... but I didn't get it finished until mid-January. Oops! I'll try posting a photos of Ollie wearing it sometime soon. The pattern didn't call for stripes, but I had extra yarn, so I thought it would be fun. Besides, I think it makes the picot collar a bit less "girly." :) The green yarn is leftover from one of the hooded sweaters I made my boys last year (pictured below). Jenn
NOTE: In response to the ArtsyGirl's comment, the pattern used for the boys' sweaters is the Sweater With Hood pattern in the Debbie Bliss Quick Baby Knits book. The book has some great patterns... including all the sweaters posted above, as well.
