Jenn's week-end baking

I FINALLY got out my krumkake and rosette irons and am thrilled to have some fun goodies to bring to our Thanksgiving meal! I might have to make a more regular habit out of making krumkake... so much fun and much easier than I expected. The rosette, on the other hand, were putsy and difficult to get just right. I've happily packed that device away until next year.
As you know, I have a hang-up for going through entire cookbooks at a time. I'm presently working my way through a GINORMOUS pies and tarts cookbook. This week-end was the Mango Black & Blue (blackberry & blueberry) Pie pictured above. Seriously, if anyone is EVER in the mood for a slice of pie... you know where to come!

Now, I don't want to be the only one posting on this blog....LADIES!

Good for you for attempting Rosettes, Jenn! That is a Williams family tradition for Christmas. They are very difficuly to make and we usually go through 1/3 of the batter just trying to get the temperature right. They are so worth it though:) Ang
